Description
Adiabatic batch reactor is a closed system with noinput and output streams. This reactor is operated underconditions like adiabatic (Temperature of Reaction Masskeep on changing), Perfectly mixed (composition ofreaction mixture is uniform throughout), and constantvolume (volume of the reaction mixture within thereactor remains onstant, there is no appreciable changein the density of reaction mass). This set-up is used tostudy a catalytic homogeneous reaction under adiabaticcondition.The set-up consists of a Dewar flask of capacity 1 lit. fittedwith a stirrer. The flask is double insulated by ceramicwool insulation. Temp. is measured by digital tempindicator. The whole setup is mounted on a rigid M.S.frame
