Description

A batch reactor is a closed system with no input andoutput streams. A batch reactor can operate underconditions like Isothermal (Temperature of Reaction Massremains constant), perfectly mixed (composition ofreaction mixture is uniform throughout), and constantvolume (volume of the reaction mixture within thereactor remains constant, there is no appreciable changein the density of reaction mass). This set-up is used tostudy a non-catalytic homogeneous reaction underisothermalcondition.The set up consists of a Reactor fitted in a constanttemperature water bath. One stirrer is fitted for mixingthe reactants in reactor and other is fitted in water bathto keep the uniform temperature throughout in the bath.The temperature of bath can be maintained fromambient to 90ºC with the help of Digital Temperatureindicator Cum Controller. Samples can be taken out withthe help of a sampling pipette.
