Description

the The present set-up is designed to study the metacentricheight of a ship model. It consists of a rectangular tankwith one side transparent and a pontoon is allowed tofloat in this tank. The pontoon position on water isvisualized through the transparent side. Suppliedremovable steel strips are placed in the ship model forthe purpose of changing the weight of the model.Displacement of weight is measured with the help of ascale. The angle of tilt can be measured by means of apendulum and a cross bar with movable hanger is fixedon the model to tilt the ship. A set of weights is suppliedwith the apparatus.
