Description

The present set-up is designed to study characteristics ofa given submersible pump. The submersible pump iscoupled to inbuilt motor. To calculate the input power tothe motor, an energy meter is provided. Present set-up itself-contained water re-circulating unit, provided with asump tank, submersible pump etc. Water is pumped bymeans of submersible pump and passing through thepipeline, it returns back to the sump which make thesystem re-circulating type. Flow of water is divertedeither to measuring tank or sump tank with the means ofa flow diverter, when needed. Control valve and Pressuregauge is fitted in discharge line of the submersible pumpto conduct the experiments on different head and flow.Flow rate of water is measured with the help ofmeasuring tank with piezometer and stopwatch. Thesupplied set-up is complete in all respect. Only water andelectricity supply is to be provided by the end user forrunning the set-up.
